Reeves Journal parent company BNP Media of Troy, Mich., said Jun. 3 it would play a role in launching a new trade show aimed at serving the disaster reconstruction industry.
BNP Media and its partner, Imago Trade Shows—a division of Atlanta-based Imago Productions, Inc.—said the National Disaster Reconstruction Expo would launch Jun. 17-18, 2009 at the Earnest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.
The NDRExpo will be the first event to consolidate the disaster reconstruction industry. NDRExpo offers disaster management professionals the opportunity to explore each other’s capabilities and challenges with the goal of minimizing the loss of life and property resulting from catastrophic events.
“We look forward to bringing these different entities together in one world-class event in New Orleans and to providing the opportunity for them to learn from, and support each other.” said Evan Kessler, publisher of Restoration & Remediation magazine, a Reeves Journal sister published by BNP Media.
The NDRExpo is being developed to unite the numerous vertical markets associated with disaster reconstruction preparation, response, and recovery and rebuilding.
From financial loss mitigation and business continuity to disaster restoration and remediation and community rebuilding and construction, the disaster reconstruction industry encompasses more than 50 industry segments represented by more than 75 associations and organizations.
