Learning the Ropes
Sun Valley, Calif. is about 15 miles from Los Angeles at the base of the Verdugo Mountains in the San Fernando Valley. About 50,000 residents call Sun Valley home and the city, nestled to the northwest of Burbank's Bob Hope Airport, earned itself some notoriety back in 2005 when flash flooding opened up a 30-foot sinkhole.
