Cordless circular saw
DeWalt’s 20V MAX XR 7-1/4” Circular Saw (DCS570) features a 7-1/4” blade as well as an efficient brushless motor. With a 2-9/16” depth of cut capacity, it is ideal for use in a wide variety of materials such as interior and exterior trim, plywood, hardwoods and flooring. Other features include an electronic brake that helps stops the blade after the trigger is released and a lower guard design that is designed to reduce guard hang-ups, improving performance for bevel cuts and cutting shim. For users running drill bits, spade bits, and fastening bits – or for electricians running the commonly-used 1-3/8” hole saw – it is a compact solution. It has a mechanical variable 2-speed transmission (0-500 & 0-1,700 RPM) and dual L.E.D. lights to illuminate the work area. The 5-5/16”, 2.6 lbs. 18V LXT Sub-Compact Brushless Impact Driver has two speed settings and 1,240 in.lbs. of Max Torque. Bosch’s new DDH183 18V Brute Tough Drill Driver and HDH183 18V Brute Tough Hammer Drill/Driver (pictured) are now officially available on the market. These two drivers pack the necessary punch – 663 In.-Lbs. of torque, all in a 4 lb. cordless package. They also feature Bosch-exclusive Kickback Control, an injury mitigation system that stops the motor in bind-up situations. Thermal Dynamics has announced its new Cutmaster 60i handheld air plasma cutting system is now available for purchase through traditional and online welding distribution outlets. Cutmaster 60i weighs 37 lbs. and provides a rated output of 7.6 kW at 50 percent duty cycle at 60A. The gas optimizer technology helps ensure premium cut quality and performance by precisely regulating air pressure, yet it also allows users to manually adjust gas delivery pressure to their liking. When users set amperage, mode of operation, torch type, and add torch lengths to extend cutting reach by an additional 25, 50 or 75 ft., the machine uses its color display to provide recommended gas pressure settings, which ensures optimum cutting performance, the company says.
Transportable pipe beveller
Ridgid’s B-500 transportable pipe beveller produces a consistent, high-quality bevel, without flames or sparks. It is a compact and transportable unit that easily mounts to the end of pipes 4” or greater in diameter, with a maximum wall thickness of a 1/2”, as well as on flat plates up to a 1/2” thick. Interchangeable heads allow bevels to be cut accurately at 30°, 37.5° or 45°. The unit features speed monitoring with LED indicators that assist the operator in keeping the beveller moving at an optimal pace.
