Merrigan brings 31 years’ experience in the fields of civil/structural engineering, building product development, and as a practicing attorney. He spent the past five years with ICC Evaluation Service, serving most recently as staff engineer responsible for masonry, veneer and building envelopes.
Raven Products has named Laurel SabalaChief Financial Officer effective immediately. Sabala has overseen financial operations at Raven for many years and will now assume the formal role of CFO. Additionally, Raven Products also announces that Michael Pelletz will assume the position of Chief Operating Officer. The role will include oversight of all inventory and vendor relation activities, pricing control and quality control. Pelletz had previously served Raven as OEM Sales Manager. Uponor North America codes and standards manager Mary Kimlingerhas been named chairperson of the Plastics Piping Systems Components Industry Forum. In her role, Kimlinger will manage the IF business and chair all meetings. IF provides advice and guidance to the National Sanitation Foundation in the development, implementation and operation of its plumbing products and related materials certification program.

The Water Quality Association said it has hired Lasrry Deutschas the new director of communications. The communications director position was recently created to focus more resources on reaching out to the public and to increase communication within the industry. Deutsch has served as communications director for the Southwestern Electrical Cooperative, the Missouri Credit Union Association, and Youth in Need. As WQA Director of Communications, he will be responsible for strategy and delivery of all messaging including public relations, convention, program services, and the website.
