PHCC Chapter Relocates Trade Show, Posts Officers
The PHCC Orange/Inland Empire Industry Trade Show is now on tap for 10 a.m. Oct. 26 at the Orange County Fairgrounds in Costa Mesa, Calif. Outgoing president Jim Eichman of Empire Plumbing in Garden Grove said the move was brought about by the event's growing attendance.
"We just out grew our former location," Eichman said. "We anticipate a great show for our vendors/exhibitors as well as our attendees. The fairgrounds allows for the expansion that will be required to continue the growth pattern that the trade show has been experiencing the past several years." Eichman added the new location offers easy access to John Wayne/Santa Ana airport for exhibitors and attendees who fly in for the event.
In other action, the chapter Sept. 11 swore in its 2004-2005 Board of Directors and officers during its 59th Annual Installation and Scholarship Awards program in Huntington Beach. New members of the executive committee are: Michael Greany of ASAP Plumbing in Corona, Calif., president; Gerhard Keissling of Minuteman Industries in Garden Grove, vice president; Paul Carranza of PMC Plumbing in Fullerton, secretary/treasurer; and Eichman takes up the mantle of immediate past president.
Newly posted directors are: Bill Chronister of Saddleback Plumbing in Rancho Santa Margarita; Chuck Barrett of KC's 23 ½ Hr. Plumbing in Orange; A.J. Hewitson of Quality Chevrolet in Escondido; and Shaw Turnage of Ferguson Enterprises of Long Beach.
In addition to the passing of the torch to new officers and directors, the chapter took the opportunity to fete several industry figures with awards and present scholarships to deserving students.
First up was ASAP Plumbing's Michael Greany who was honored as the group's "Contractor of the Year." Scholarship recipients included Matt Bigos of Gorsuch Plumbing in Long Beach; David Dutcher of Nova Plumbing in Santa Ana; Nicholas Perez of ASAP Plumbing in Corona; and Matthew Pruitt of Proserv Plumbing in Corona.
