Anticipation and preparation are critical to a business’s success—especially during tough economic times. The PHCC convention, CONNECT 2009, scheduled for Oct. 21-23 in New Orleans, will focus on both of these areas to help participants confidently position their companies for an economic upturn in 2010.
For the first time since 2001, PHCC is not partnering with other groups and is offering a program specifically geared for the p-h-c contractor. The “hottest” topics of the day were selected to give CONNECT 2009 participants access to the latest trends and business management practices that can help them thrive in the future.
Featured speakers include Stuart Varney, business and financial journalist for FOX News, who will talk about “21st Century America: A New Day in Politics, Culture, and Business;” and Richard Trethewey of “This Old House,” who will discuss “The Future of Comfort and Efficiency.”
There also will be seminars on topics like green plumbing, pre-fabrication, residential fire sprinklers, understanding overhead and year-end tax planning. An industry panel will help contractors learn what to expect from the manufacturers as they weather the current economic climate and prepare for the upturn. Also featured will be a full-day Product and Technology Showcase where contractors, manufacturers and other vendors will gather to learn and exchange ideas about products, technologies and advancements in the p-h-c industry.
