July 30 was the start date for a new full-service web site for online and classroom Continuing Education for journey-level electrical, HVAC and plumbing trade professionals from the Construction Continuing Education Center of America, a division of Construction Industry Training Council of Washington.
The site was created in response to a demand from construction industry professionals, who are required by their states to complete Continuing Education requirements each year prior to recertifying, the group said.
The new site includes course catalogs that allow users to browse by course type or by trade. Users may also choose to add selections to a "wish list" section of the site. This allows users to personalize the site and save useful content for their next visit.
The biggest time-saving element of the new site is the updated online shopping cart. Customers can save time by creating a user profile. All their information is saved for future purchases, allowing them to enroll in any course they need, from anywhere, at anytime. Participants in online courses can begin their courses at the touch of a button.
CCEC also offers Classroom Continuing Education courses throughout Washington State and currently provides certified continuing education training online in 11 states, seven being in the West, including Alaska, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Oregon, and Washington.
To view the new site, visit the Web site.
