The Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute will join industry organizations and equipment manufacturers in hosting the 13th Annual HVACR and Plumbing Instructor Workshop, March 5-7, at the National Conference Center in Lansdowne, Va.
The event will provide instructors and administrators of apprentice and secondary and post-secondary school-based instructional programs with information to help train the next generation of skilled workers in the plumbing and HVAC industries.
The three-day workshop will focus on the latest technologies through hands-on sessions from a wide range of manufacturers. In addition to networking with industry experts, instructors also will learn from presenters and each other about new and innovative teaching techniques and student recruitment tools.       The 2008 Instructor Workshop is sponsored by a coalition of industry trade associations, including the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Association; RSES; and SkillsUSA.
The event also will feature more than a dozen exhibitors including Appion Inc.; Bradford White; Jay R. Smith Mfg.; GE/Regal Beloit; Hydronics Institute; Lennox/Service Experts; Sporlan Division-Parker Hannifin; Testo; and York/JCI.
Event registration is free for instructors. To register, go to www.instructorworkshop.org or call (800) 297-5660.
