Organizers said the 2008 AHR Expo set a new attendance record (for Northeast Shows) with a total of more than 50,000 registered attendees.
In addition, this year’s event, Jan. 22-24 at New York's Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, has also set new records for the number of exhibiting companies and total square footage of exhibit space for a Northeast event. Based on interviews with several exhibitors, they were thrilled with the first two days of traffic.
“We’ve not exhibited at the AHR Expo in years but decided to return to see if anything had changed," said Invensys Controls spokeswoman Kathy Maynard. Invensys suplies the Robertshaw brand of thermostats used in radiant heating applications. "That was a wise decision based on the great feedback and booth traffic to see our HVR & EVR Systems. If a company has practical solutions for today’s HVAC/R marketplace, they need to be at AHR Expo.”
REHAU, a Leesburg, Va.-based manufacturer of PEX tubing, rainwater management and radiant heating and cooling products, took advantage of the AHR Expo to debut its new professional contractor development program.
The program will provide members with heating and plumbing system training sessions, design services, merchandising materials, local networking meetings, and regional and national VIP events.
