What is the proper gift for a 135th birthday? That’s what German-born pump manufacturer WILO AG is celebrating.
Many years ago, Wilo adopted “Pumpen Intelligenz“ to describe a customer- focused/application-driven approach for the development of pumps and systems, which are deeply rooted in the methods and principles of German engineering technology.
Today the company employs 6,000 people worldwide.  Wilo, founded by Louis Opländer in 1872, began as a factory for copper and brass goods. To accommodate growing demand, in Sept. 2007, the company opened a new manufacturing facility in Thomasville, Ga.
