For the first time since 1999, the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors of the Greater Los Angeles Area will host its annual trade show June 9 at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, Calif.
"After 30 years of doing it in February, this is a new idea," said PHCC GLAA show organizer Harry Reed. "It's a transision, but we're going to make it work."
The event had previously been held at the Los Angeles County Fairplex in Pomona. Last year the event was rescheduled from February to June to take advantage of nicer weather and to avoid conflict with other events. This year marks the event's return to Long Beach.
Seminars kick off at 8 a.m. with, "Water Jetting Equipment: Transitions and Trends," presented by U.S. Jetting, a supplier of such equipment based in Alpharetta, Ga. Also on tap are seminars for service and repair plumbers, tankless water heatrers, and wage and labor issues: "We wanted to strike a balance for both contractors and technicians," Reed said.
