Quality Service Contractors, a service group of the PHCC NA, has announced that industry partner Grundfos Pumps Corp, has become the QSC Power Tool Sponsor for the remainder of 2005. Meanwhile, the company said a recent charity golf tournament raised more than $11,000 to benefit an aviation program that benefits physically challenged children and teens.

As the QSC Power Tool Sponsor, Grundfos will be supporting the QSC education programs and the implementation of those programs for QSC members.

"QSC strives to help its members run their businesses more effectively and efficiently, increasing profitability, enhancing image and improving client relations," said QSC executive director Charlie Wallace. "We value the opportunity to partner with Grundfos and further the QSC mission of providing the quality service contractor with training, technology, and professional development, resulting in superior client service and satisfaction."

In other action, QSC's charity golf tournament, held in late July in St. Louis, raised $11,805 for an aviation program that benefits Challenge Air for Kids & Friends, a not-for-profit Texas-based organization that offers motivational, inspirations and life-changing experiences to physically challenged children and youth through aviation. The money raised will be used toward operating costs associated with putting on "Fly Days" around the U.S.

The money raised by the tournament was matched dollar-for-dollar by The Meadows Foundation of Dallas, giving Challenge Air a total of $23,610. This brings the total raised by QSC over the last two years to more than $34,000.

The golf tournament was sponsored by QSC Industry Partner, Hodes Co., which paid for all the golfing fees. For more information about QSC, log onto www.qsc-phcc.org, or call (800)533-7694.
