The astute observers among you may have already noticed this issue of Reeves Journal features an in-depth look at topics of an environmentally friendly nature.
Yes, “green” is still going strong, both as a marketing buzzword and as a solid set of ideas, techniques and products plumbers can introduce to enviro-conscious consumers and use to operate their businesses more efficiently.
While “green” (the current word used to describe the processes involved in treading more lightly on the environment) may fade out of common use like “eco-“ did back in the early 1980s, the core concepts and processes aren’t going to go away.
It’s not a fad. The environmentally conscious angle is beginning to become profitable and that can only mean that it’s going to spread. Your customers want to “green” their homes. They want to use less water. They want to use less energy. They are interested in learning about alternative ways of heating water. Solar power…Geothermal…New methods of using traditional energy sources much more efficiently—you name it and your customers want to learn about it.
Lucky you—you’re the plumber, the expert they’re going to be looking to for help in making informed decisions about the products and techniques that can be used to make their construction or remodeling project the envy of all their "green"-minded friends.
We hope this issue of Reeves will inspire you to learn more about the subject of “green” construction and plumbing and sets you off on a very profitable road.
