Reeves Wants to Know...

An upcoming feature in the print edition of Reeves deals with water conservation. This topic is pretty important here in the chronically drought-plagued West.
We're sure we're not the only people to have noticed the water levels in lakes and reservoirs around the region dropping over the past few years. Certainly saving water has sunk in to your customers’ consciousness. Couple that with the current trend toward embracing all things "green" and it's not much of a stretch to imagine your customers are eager to learn about ways to save water in their homes.
Many plumbers are making a pretty penny offering their customers water-saving products over and above the low-flow toilets and shower heads mandated by government. How about you?
How does your company go about turning this thirst for knowledge about water saving products into business? What are your tactics? Does your company have a checklist for techs to use on calls so they can evaluate a customer's water usage? How do you go about recommending the installation of water-saving products? Have you noticed an increase in interest in water-saving strategies among your customers? How do you go about educating them about what's available and how they can employ them to save water and money?
